hey,
i've jus installed an extreme psi intake and everything went smoothly. i tested the car and it sounds hella good. but i find it has decrease in power.i haf a question, the intake pipe which connects to the turbo, issit suppose to fit tightly even without the clamp or ...it fits in kinda loose.?
mine fits in rather loose b4 i put in the clamp to the hose..newbie needs help! thanks

low end..im thinking its the connection between the turbo and the intake..the hose part..cause my hose without the clamp,it jus fits into the turbo without any adjusments..izzit suppose to be like that?

The hose that goes between the turbo and the intake should fit snug until you put the clap on.Get the clap on there good to avoid leaks but what you talking about could be part of the performance trade off.A lot of performance upgrades will be a trade off you mite notice more top end or more bottom end a lot of it will depend on the upgrade and if you have any other upgrades to work with it.Its been so long since I put the intake on my car I cant remember where I really felt the change. One last thing with your new intake are you venting?

i think everyone has the wrong idea about the whole intake thing. if your intake isnt on tight its no big deal its your turbo thats going to be sucking in dirt not mine. second off their are lots of guys (john sheppard) who dont even run a intake to suck in as much air as possible. so having your intake on or off isnt going to effect the preformance of your car whats so ever

true for maf-t. if u have a big enough gap in your intake after the mas, your car will stutter under load. The reason being is unmetered air is sneaking into the combustion chamber.

hey ppl, thanks for all the replies.well,if the intake doesn't affect the performance since lots of ppl dun even haf a intake..then its cool.. :thumb:

Thats completly wrong. If it isnt on tight then it will be sucking in un-metered air which will cause the car to run weird. So make sure everything is as tight as possible. You dont want leaks. Period.

ohh,damn...ok then..anyway i made it as tight as possible.jus worried bout leaks ..tats it.

After I installed my Extreme PSI intake I noticed an increase in power. Just make sure everything is as tight as possible and do a leak test :thumb:
