Just checked my A/F. Way rich???

I just put on my LM-1 wideband. Made 3rd gear pulls from 3K to redline. My A/F went from around 14:1 on cruise to 10.0-10.4:1(mostly 10.1-10.2) all the way up. Boost stayed at 12-14psi. It would stay dead steady for awhile and then would waver a little. Mostly under 14psi.
Should'nt the A/F be around 11.5 or so? I'm running 92 pump. I have a logger but have not hooked it up yet.

Can i up the boost some as long as the a/f stays below 11.5? Or would there be something else i should look at first other that a/f?

You would need to get a logger and log your knock counts but if you are that rich I would say that you could run some more boost and timing. Why are you that rich?

I dunno. I'm running a walbro 255 intank and afpr. Also ran a 10guage wire to feed the pump through a relay. I've dropped base pressure to around 35psi because it seemed to be running rich. I'm running stk injectors and they have 195,000mi on them.
I'm so tired, i dunno if i will be able to hook up the logger. I think its simple but i've not done it before.

Oh yeah, i don't have a way of changing the fuel like a SAFC or the like. That is next on my long list.

How much leaner would a 2Gmaf make it run?

Maybe i misunderstood. I thought the 2G maf would make a 1G run leaner if you just swapped the MAF and did'nt adjust the fuel via a safc, or the like.

Got my logger hooked up and working. Went for a spin and here is the info...

Boost set at 13-14psi. 7-9 counts of knock. Injector duty cycle was just under 95%. TPS was 96%. A/F was steady at 10.0-10.2. Even saw 9.8 once. Funny thing was that the high knock counts were around 4000rpm. Once over 5000rpm i only had 2-4 counts all the way to redline. I could feel a hesitation when the counts jumped. I wonder why?
Set boost at 16psi. 11-15 counts of knock if i kept rpm under 6500 rpm. When i went over 6500rpm the knock count was 17-25. I could feel a hesitation or kinda surging when going over 6500rpm and the knock counts jumped. For some reason my LM-1 started showing 34.something for the AFR. I shut it down and powered it back up but it was still showing goofy. I dunno whats wrong with it...
I'm new to logging and tuning these DSM's. Is 7-9 counts of knock bad? What is considered excessive?
I did try 18psi but the knock counts jumped to 27 well before 6K. So i turned it down to the 16psi.

From what i understand on the first gens you want to tune for no knock. I also think anything after 3 counts of knock timing will start to be affected. I would definatley do new injectors and something to tune the fuel. Lots of guys say go dsmlink which rocks. But i use an SAFC which seems to work fine.
