Tonight i met this kid who's dad owns a tuner shop.. cool kid knows his stuff, turns out that he has two blown 14b turbos along with one (what i believe to be) blown small 16g just sitting in his garage(TD05H 49178-05200). The kid offered to sell them all for $20 with one turbine housing and a oil feed line..Obviously, being the impulse buyer that i am :sneaky: , i jump on the deal...

Now my question is what should i do from here.. Obviously the 16g is a much better turbo BUT as i look into the compressor housing i can see that some of the fins are dinged at the very tips... I want to have ONE of these turbos re-built and swapped into my 2g to replace the t-25..

I could use some opinions on what to do from here and if anyone knows how much and where i could get these rebuilt? Thanks for reading my long ass thread.

EDIT: Another thought would it be worth trying to buy a rebuild kit and take the project on myself??

you might be able to make one turbo out of the 14bs, as for the 16g, you can try to get a rebuild kit

whatever you do, you cant go wrong for 20 bucks

Your best bet would be to get one of the 18g's from Forced performance that come without the exhaus housing. Slap on one of the ones you have and you essentially have a brand new 18G for about 400 bucks.
