Also before you install the turbo please put a light bead of RTV around the compressor cover so that it doesn't leak. These turbos are notorious for this. My buddy just bought and installed a used FP3065 and when we did a BLT it leaked a lot. We haven't gotten around to removing it to seal it up yet.

Thanks for the heads up SoFla, i will definitely keep that in mind. Did it have any other random "quirks" with the install or was it relatively straigtfoward

The install went fairly smooth. We ran oil from the head with a FP black mini filter for BB turbos attached to the -4an ss oil feed he got with the turbo. He already had an AN fitting welded to his oilpan from his previous turbo but we had to purchase new return hose. It Bolted up to the FP mani and FP O2 housing pretty easily and we then had to remove a plug from the block for a coolant feed/return hose since his previous turbo was only oil-cooled. Pretty straightforward install. We did have to clock the turbo a little to get the lower intercooler pipe with the 90 degree coupler on it to fit the turbo properly so prepare for that.

I would suggest ordering all new fasteners too.

Thanks again for the headsup. I will definitely keep that in mind.

And on yet another side note....has anyone used this turbo with e85? Or used it with pump first and then converted? Because i have been doing alot of reading into e85 and it seems like that is the best route to take :hellyeah:

Yea he runs e85 and just dynoed 471awhp at 28psi. Stock 7 bolt block. I can post the vid later. He has the fp3065 though, my bad.

Still, good to know his stock 7 bolt is holding that much power as that is what i have, I will likely run far less boost (low/mid 20's max) and obviously on the smaller 3052 as well. Happen to know his injector size/duty cycle?
