Has anyone used the JIC 2 setup or the Tien SS setup and which one is better for autocross with a 1G?

I don't see how you can compare the two. They are in completely different catagories. Even if you were to compare the Flex kit you would be a little closer, but still not in the same ballpark. The JIC's are a far more adjustable and well put together kit than Tein will ever make.

I personally thinkg that the Koni/GC kit runs circles around any Tein setup. But that is just me.

Could you say anything to expand on why the JIC's are so much better than the teins? I'm curious, but just saying it's so doesn't really help increase the knowledge on the forums, but it will help fuel pointless discussions without any real knowledge.

I have the Tein Flex system. Works just fine for street use, but if you want more than that, you're probably better off saving up a little more and getting the FLT-A2's. You'd have more adjustability with those.

JIC fla 2 are way better then the Tein ss and the flex, reason being the jic are a montube shock design which allows more oil to be used and has a better response, also they are 100% aluminum which means its lighter, not likely to rust, and these are way better suitable for track use them the tein ss. Also the jic comes with p/u mounts unlike the tein ss unless you get the tein ss-p which are like 300 bucks more. So the main question is are you just going to daily drive the car, or track it, etc.

Well I cant compair the tein and the JIC, but I do have some shock dyno data from JIC and I was not impressed....actually It was very poor! That said I dont know if the set I had was a gross screw up on JIC part or what, but regardless the parts didnt match part to part..... What I did recently test on the dyno was the HOTBITS products as they asked me to be the US rebuild center.... Well They are very nice and have HUGH adjustment ranges!!! The curves look great and the damper dont lag a bit....even at a meter a second...... I would not talk about dampers without real DATA not word of mouth or ass-o-mometer.....

Teins have terrible valving, stock JIC FLTA2's have terrible valving, but RRE can at least fix/revalve the JICs to something not so terrible. Stock Tein vs Stock JIC would go to JIC still, but that's talking about eating captain crunch vs. Store brand when everyone else is eating pancakes.

The only factory out of the box shock from Japan that can be applied to DSM's that had anything decent valving that I've seen (they came off some Honda) were Zeals and those for DSM's are around 2500 dollars, which is waaaay too much.
