i seen somewhere, (i think it was on vfaq but cant find it now) that fuel injectors from a jeep cherokee 4.0l are 550cc and will fit in dsm's. i need some 550's and it would be real nice to take some from a jeep instead of spending almost $300 for new ones. if anyone knows if this is true, please let me know.

Find one at the junkyard and grab some serial #'s off the injectors. Alot of the time, the CC rating will be included up and to the right of the serial #.

I read that as well, but I researched it and found out otherwise. From what I read, they're only like 19lb/hrs injectors, and not high-impedence like we use.

Yep, you guys are probably right.

I'm pretty sure they were the opposite of whatever we use. Should have said it that way. :D

If you have a set of injectors that are high impedence they'll still work, you just remove the resistor box. Some people use the 550cc injectors from TII RX-7's which are also high impedence. http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=72368&highlight=RX7+injectors

If anyone has any more information about Jeeps with 550cc injectors I'd like to find out more. The 550cc injectors from RX-7s are a lot older and probably more expensive I would guess since more people seem to know about them having 550cc injectors that fit out cars and others.

 Has anyone out there actually put jeep injectors, and personally know if they work.
If anybody has please tell us more information like from what kind of jeep, year maybe what color etc.
Let's clear that issue for once

they have black tops, and are in any 92-01 dodge magnum v8/v6 (trucks and jeep grand cherokee) and 94+ jeep cherokee, but they are nowhere near 550cc. Not worth it.

You can get brand new 550cc injectors on EBAY for 200 bucks.

Do you know how big are they? Are they over 500cc and are they low impedance and direct fit for turbo DSM. I'd rather put 500 than the stock with 2G mas if they cost $50-$60 from a salvage yard

No, they are nowhere near 500cc. I do not know if they are high or low impedance, but if it matters, my truck does Not have an injector resistor box.

The flow on them is 19# per hour. I do not remember what it equates to in cc, but I remember that it was around the same as the injectors which come on a honda civic.

So why are we even talking about these injectors then. Seems to me that they are not an upgrade at all. So why are there people selling these injectors in the classifieds forum?

Way to bump up a 3 year old thread. For the record, if you want a 700cc/min injector, you'll need something equivalent to 67lbs/hr. And no Jeep XJ, ZJ, WJ, WK, 5.2, or 5.7, or even the SRT8 Grand come with 67lb injectors stock. I believe highest is like 44 lb/hr max.
