jeep tb for me??

I currently have an air intake, header, exhaust, hi flow cat, and an alum udp. I want to get a bigger tb and my idea is to get one from a jeep that goes from a 60mm to a 55mm with a tapper and then when I get ready to turbo it (if I ever do) bore the tapper out to make it 60mm all the way thru...what do you think?

Double check vfaq.com but I think the 1g tb is bigger then the 2g and it is a direct bolt on

NO, you can't!

Double check vfaq.com but I think the 1g tb is bigger then the 2g and it is a direct bolt on

That is For Turbo Cars/ 1g 4G63 N/A

It can be done. All you need to do is swap the sensor or relocate it.

I am not sure what you are asking but, If you are loking from where you can get a 60mm T/B. You can always ask in the dealership or Autozone for details....

Applications: 1991-2003 Jeep 4.0L straight 6 and stroked motors (4.2L - 5.0L)
F&B Jeep throttle bodies are available in 66mm and 68mm bore diameters (stock is 60mm necked to 56mm). Some intake manifold porting should be done to enlarge the manifold opening. These throttle bodies have a 3" inlet and are compatible with stock air intake systems (not recommended because of flow restriction) and most aftermarket air intake systems.

Furthermore, I would simply get any Jeep 4.0L I6 TB you can get your hands on. So long as it's in good condition and a fair price, you'll be fine. Being that large all the way through might cost you a smidgeon down low, but you'll get it back in the top end at the track. Good throttle response when you need it, too.

I used to be a 2GNT guy as well (hence Titogs95). I was planning to do all that back in a time. So, I do remember where to find all that.

I just don't want to lose the low end I have now...I've already taken all the slack from the throttle cable and have improved virtually all the air flow I can (V2 intake has a 3.5" inlet, manifold matched 4-2-1 ceramic headers, 2.5" ceramic downpipe, gutted cat and 3" ss exhaust all the way to the 4" tip)...plus the car is starting to run rich at idle for some reason and I think if I go with the 60 mm all the way thru it should lean out a bit at idle...any thoughts on that?

Yep. But to Confirm that theory I would recomend you to read the voltage of the O2 sensor (.5 volts) or borrow somebody's Wideband to make sure it stays arround 14.7 A/F ratio at closed loop.
How is getting richer at idle? on stock fuel settings? WTF after all that?

The reason of going to 60mm T/B is because you are going to get a Turbo, right? If so get it. and have it as a back up.
Otherwise is too much lack for a N/A. IMO...

granted I have only a autometer blinky light gauge, but the thing idles a good bit to the rich side and at WOT the blinky lights are burried on the rich side as far as so only two or three can be seen... next on the list is probably an aem wideband and then I have got to get some type of air/fuel controller that works well on 420a's

if I do invest in a complete stand alone system such as the AEM EMS can I come up with a map that will let the big tb work at low end relatively well?

So from reading all of this, it is possible to put a Jeep TB on a 2G 420a? Now if I did this, I am assuming that I would need to buy a jeep TB Spacer if I was to get one?
