Jdm galant selectable trans questions

I was on eBay the other night and saw an ad for a vr4 galant trans that was selectable, it says that you can switch the trans from awd to fwd with a selector on the tranny and it came with the transfer that was also able to go into a freespin.the guy only wants 250 for the trans and the shipping was like 200. I'm not planning on getting it i've just never seen anything on a trans like this for dsm's

if I am not mistaken the VR4 line came on many other model galants, not just the 91-92 that we got here in the states. If it is a jdm galant tranny then it can be from numerous year, many of them had 4WD/AWD.

DSMs and Galant vr4 in the US all have all time AWD.

Did the seller state what the yea the trans is from?


If you take a quick look on the wikipedia page for vr4, they state that the vr4 had several different trans available (none would work with the 4g63 except E38A/E39A).
