im gonna be droppin a jdm cyclone in my tsi and was wandering if i can use my eprom or do i need a jdm spec ecu?

the jdm uses more than just RPM sigal to control the actuators. I read a Technical explaination Long ago, forget where, or what it said,PaulN said:Basically it has to do with the RPM switch being tapped into your tach and when the engine reaches 4100 RPM's the switch will apply current to the spare FPS which will open or close (can't remember which) triggering the butterfly valves in the Cyclone intake, just as it does in a JDM vehicle.
