hello,

I have a 1991 laser nt and it wont start. i have got 3 tr units and non of them seem to work so im starting to think that the tr is not the problem. what else could cause the car not to start and also have no tach signal.

Thanks,
Matt

Today i got the ecu and put it in. The car does run but now i have a new problem. The idle is really weird. When it first starts its at normal. but then i push in the gas and let off and it shoots up to 2500-3000 and wont come down. Im lost here (still new to dsm's and cars in general) Please help. I need to drive the car to work, so quickness would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Make sure your thorttle cable travels freely and throttle body closes fully. When it idles that high again, push down on throttle cable hookup at the trottle body and see if idle comes down.

no its not throttle body. it closes all the way. I noticed that it doesnt do it with the mas unplugged so im wondering if i need a new mas. is there a way i could test mine.

Thanks,
Matt

Im having the same problem with my 90GSX all fuses and links are good but Im getting really really weak spark.

my car was running pretty good (except for a slightly high idle), then i found out that my mas was unplugged. so i plugged it in. and unpluged the battery so the ecu would restart. then i fired it up and started having this problem. It idles really low, then when you hit the gas to rev it up it climbs to 2500-3000 rpm and wont come down. the throttle body is closed all the was and my isc is good so im thinking that my mas might be reading air flow wrong and causeing the ecu to open up the isc too far. is it good to run the car with the mas unplugged?

Thanks,
Matt
