I've decided to go T3/T4, now i need help

Hey guys,
well i was between 16g and t3/t4 and well i really want to make some serious power and it really isn't that expensive compared to other options to go T3/T4.

Here's what i want to achieve:
low 13's and high 12's, if i get mids that would be great too but not really my goal.

My car is a 95 GST w/106,000 miles so i want to do as much as i can but not blow the engine, also daily driving + more street performance is what i want.

Ok here is where i need some help, there are 2 paths i could take:

1)Buy my buddies Turbonetics manifold w/ ext wastegate and dumptube, put on a T3/T4 + supporting mods

2)Buy a bolt-on T3/T4 + supporting mods(internally gated or external?)
Also how would i attach a wastegate if it were external wastegated?

I really need some help regarding what turbo? size? trim etc since i really don't know much about turbos

To tell you straight up, if your mod page is current, a T3/T4 turbo upgrade should honestly be the last thing on your mind. To better help you out, take a serious look at the upgrade paths on this site. Not only do I believe the path to be accurate, following it will give you the most efficiency out of EVERY upgrade.

But in short, a B16G CAN get you the 1/4 times you are reaching for. However, to get there there is something you need more than the parts themselves-launching experience and TUNING.

for more power i'd consider the SBR-2G20G. from what i've read it's mostly a bolt on turbo.

20G's are also good for 350-400 hp.. = 13's with FWD's and 12's with slicks

that's why i stated + supporting mods

I know all about supporting mods and i know a 16g can get me do the 13's but i want to run constant 13's and some high 12's

I know that to do that with a 16g i'll have to tune the hell out of it and that's where i think the price difference between 16g and t3/T4 comes to play.

Also i like highway pulls a lot so i think the t3/t4 will satisfy me there.

I mean an untuned t3/T4 will pull almost as good as a well tuned 16g as i understand

The guy who sold me the car ran 12.0 in the 1/4 on his GST, he was running a T4 turbo,microtech and all supporting mods + cams and head work.

This is an exception of course but it seems to me that a T3/T4 would be a better turbo choice for a FWD than a 16g.

Anyways can anyone reccomend me? help me?

This proyect will take time since i need to fix my front suspension first(axles, ps rack etc)

After that i'll start modding depending on what kind of set-up i choose

Ah, I see. my apologies for overlooking that part. For what it's worth, I had a ported and clipped B16G for a very long time until I switched to a PTE 56 trim, Garret/mitsu T3/T4. I absolutely love the power it has, and it will help me reach my goals easier than my 16G would have.

Also why did you choose a bolt-on instead of a t3/t4 with a manifold??

What times are you running with the PTE?

I heard you need to or you will get some serious boost creep... Most people run with ported 02 manifold. ^^;; yeah you might want more supporting mods... You have almost no supporting mods? and for you to want to run more than 300 hp. Well best of luck to you. I am getting the AGP kit cuz I heard great things about them.

IS it definately i'll have to modify my downpipe? I mean i have a 3" apexi N1 downpipe, i don't think it's necessary to change it but what do i do need to change? Regarding o2 housing and such?
