Alright so i've had this thought pondering me for a while now, pretty much since i've gotten my car a month ago....i was sitting in my driveway with teh running, i rev it up and i dont really hear a spool or bov...this is my ?, a turbo works that when u rev up the car more exhaust gases make the intake side of the turbo spool up, thus compressing it and it goes into ur throttlebody....why the hell dont i hear my turbo spool when i i'm driving on the road. should i hear the turbo spool up and the bov kick in. I do hear it very little when i put my foot down to the floor and release but no other way. Can someone explain whats happening here. Thanks

the car is stock with a crushed 1gen bov, i've done the honeycomb mod/k&n filter mod and boostcontrol seneloid mod, running @ 11psi, it just seems when every i hear other turbo cars even if stand still u can really hear the turbo and bov go off. Just curious if something is wrong with my car...boost hits hard in 2-5 gears...it goes up to 11psi till around 6k rpm where it drops down to around 9psi

you ewont really hear youre turbo to much, at that level of mods.
an exhuast, an intake, and piping, and it will scream, and btw, what are you spooling 11psi by?
maybe u have leaks of some kind as well.

in order for a turbo to work, it has to be under a load.........even if you had the car on jack stands and floored it, it will do the same thing. Now take it for a spin around the block and floor it, and you will hear all the bells and whistles..........hotwheels of turborides
