I only fired it up twice last night but only for about 1 - 2 seconds at a time, it's not reading any oil pressure at the moment so I need to figure out whats going on. After the first time I fired it up it I checked the oil and it was low so i put some more oil in it, tried it again and the light stayed on. Didn't think to check the actual gauge for oil pressure but tonight when I get home I will do that and have someone look in the oil fill cap to see if they can see any oil flow when it cranks, it kind of difficult to do that by my self without letting it continue to run. Hopefully it is just a bad low oil pressure switch. We will see...

So I fired it up yesterday and verified that I do in fact have oil flow by starting it up and looking under the 710 cap and watching oil come out of the lifters. That got me digging into other problems. Found out that i had the wires mixed up between the oil pressure switch and pressure transmitter. Swapped them around = oil light now goes out when the car is running but the oil gauge still doesn't work... Got out the multimeter and started checking wires and apparently I have a break in the wire between the pressure transmitter and the gauge somewhere...mmm, fun. might get to it today not sure. I have to replace the front right inner CV boot, right side steering rack boot, and both inner wheel well plastic parts on the STI... mmm, even more fun.

I jsut started a build like this but from complete scratch. I picked an AWD five speed 95 talon for THIRTY BUCKS!!! still had the rear end and drive shaft. no motor no interior destroyed wiring harness but how can you pass up that chance? great job man, have fun finishing it:)
