Is this too close for comfort?

As long as it's not rubbing on the alternator I'd say you're ok. Make sure you have a little room left in case you need to swing the alternator up a bit if you ever need to tighten the belt. Is that an external dump or recirculated? If it's dumped just make sure it's not blowing on the alternator. Other than that you should be ok.

Like posted above, as long as its not blowing on the alternator your okay.
What O2 housing is that? Punishment-racing? I just got mine in the mail today from PR, looks great, the ports are even bigger than the mitsu turbo to O2 gasket.
I got the recirc'd. version, It'll be interesting to actually hear the turbo spool past ~12psi without the obnoxious roar from the wastegate.

Thanks for the quick reply! No it isn't rubbing,but i was worried that it might be too close. its an external dump. im thinking of running out the side of the bumper but still unsure about it. thanks again

id make sure the altenator is tight so it doesnt move and rub, just check every once in a while but youll be good thats why they make the parts to fit the way they do, they wouldnt make something that wont fit and if they did they would tell you

You should wrap the wastegate and dump tube and put a heat shield between the two. Otherwise you'll go through alternators like underwear.

I have sheet of that heat reflective blanket between the manifold and wastegate. You can see it in the pic, its about 8" wide and about 14" long so it drapes all the down past the radiator support. In that pic the o2 housing its not wrapped but it was before I took the pic.

eh you're good enough just gonna have to move it if you ever have to replace the alt

Invest in an altenator relocation kit. I dont have heat shields and Ive been through 3 alternators in the last 6 months.

Does your dumptube at least extend past your alternator?
