I have been having a couple issues with my GSX Misfires as soon as i go into boost doesn't matter if it's just climbing to speed or WOT. My fuel pressure is OK and my settings for ecmlink were checked and re-checked for 660cc injectors. I am doing a boost leak test and i have air coming from the half moon metal valve cover gasket seal. I know i am not suppose to have a boost leak. My question is it normal to have air running into the head like that or am i looking at a even bigger issue?

You're building pressure in your crank case, or your PCV is faulty. Check the valve that threads into the back passenger side of your valve cover. It has a line running from it to your intake manifold. Take it out and blow some air through it. It should only allow air one way (Towards the Intake Manifold). If it allows air to pass both ways, it's faulty and you should replace immediately.

What this does is allow pressure in your crank case to escape back into your intake manifold, relieving any pressure in the crank case. Once boost is built and vacuum is removed, this check valve closes to prevent boost from flowing into the crank case. If yours is faulty, boost will build in your crank case and after time could damage a few things including your rings. It will also produce a major boost leak and cause the vehicle to run poorly.

OK i did the pvc valve thing and the valve is good. This car has been driving me crazy i can't figure this out. Let's start from the start. One day last week my fuel pump started making noise more then usual. I switched out the fuel pump with a brand new unit. The new unit makes noise also but it's a 255 walbro and i had a 190 in there befroe so i have heard that make noise so i didn't worrie about it. At the same time i changed the fule filter. I also rewired the fuel pump with 10g wire. I get up to 2 psi and the car falls flate on it's face. I can't build any more boost then that. Fuel pressure with vac line off and plugged is good. I did a boost leak test and found the intake manifold gasket blew out. I replaced intake manifold gasket. I re tested and found another leak at one of the j-pipe welds. I fixed that temp with jb weld until i can get a new one. I do notice that the est a/f ratio and what the aem gauge says (both logged by ecmlink) are total oppisite of each other on running pig rich at idel andd one lean out as can be. I found all the valve cover bolts loose causing the half moon to leak during a boost leak test. i made sure am getting 12v to fuel pump. I also ohm'ed out all 4 injectors and they are all the same at...... I wanna say 24 k ohms i think. I know it was 24 or 2.4 but wasn't paying attetion. Coolant temp sensor is good. Car dies when i i take MAF plug off. Am out of ideas please help

The misfire under boost could also be the igniter, thats the 7 pin flat coil that sends the signal to the coil packs. It sits on the intake manifold. I had this problem when I first got my GSX. It would go pas 5 Lbs of boost before misfiring. Sounds familiar?
