Ok, I've dropped my car with a NEX suspension setup, this is a one-piece coil over. I set it to what I feel is the maximum "up" heigh and my car is really really low. The struts have two adjust points - the "height" adjustment is at the bottom of the strut (where it connects to the hub(the entire strut housing is threaded)) is the "heigh" adjustment I can screw it in to lower it, or unscrew to raise it. It is holding onto about 1/2" of thread, so I don't want to raise it up any higher with that method. The second perch (the coil-over part) which changes the spring tension, I don't think will raise my car any, and if it does(say if I compressed the springs upward more to push it up), wouldn't that make the ride *firmer* which I do not want?

O.K. now to my main question, seems the springs have settled now and i can barely fit my thumb between my tire and the fender on the drivers side front. I set the front(s) at the same heigh initally and the passenger side I can still fit almost two fingers between.. Is it safe to make a plate out of aluminum (or even some really tough rubber would be perfect and soften the ahrsh ride) to put on the very top of the strut pearch (where it bolts to the car)?

Let me know what you guys think....
