Is this a clutch engagement or disengagement issue?

I always get the two confused and I am tired of trying to visualize it. Before I start a new post about how I press the clutch pedal in after a clutch/pp/flywheel swap, I want to make sure that I use the right term.

I press the clutch pedal in and it feels extra soft. It does not allow me to shift the transmission into any gear.

I don't want to turn this thread into the cause of this situation because I would like to provide a history of the situation but would like the proper term before discussing it.

Disengagement issue. A weak or soft pedal can be atributed to air in the clutch system. Bleed the master and slave out really well. If it gets much better then gets crappy again you know you need a new master or slave. For some reason every time I let a mitsu set for very long I find myself replacing the master and slave shortly after putting it back on the road.

Open the 10mm bleeder valve on the slave until it starts to drip fluid, it will save some time bleeding the system keep us posted.
