Hey guys i got a new head for christmas from a fellow dsmer, everything looks great but i was wondering if there was anything wrong with my valves because there is a brownish color to them. Is this normal or is it something i need to be concerned about? I will post a pic of what i am talking about, any input helps thanks.

It's just a good amount of carbon build up. I had the same build up on mine and I took my dremal and a sanding attachment and cleaned it off. As long as the valves seal your ok to us it but the build up could possibly cause hot spots and knock so I recommend cleaning them

I would suggest taking them out and giving them a good cleaning and check for stress.

It's tough to tell the overall condition of the head from that photo but I don't see anything out of the ordinary concerning the valves. Brown is normal- just deposits from the spent fuel. If you feel that the head is in reliable condition, then just clean the deck surface and install it. Don't take a dremel or anything to the valves to clean off the carbon. It's not hurting anything. If you do that you run a serious risk of those pieces of crud getting between the valve and the seat which will cause bigger problems.

Looks normal from what i can see. I also wound not recommend a dremel as a method of cleaning valves.

If you decide to do anything just take them to your local machinist and have them polish them up for you. That will remove all the carbon deposits. Although over time it will likely return unless theres a way to keep them clean.

meth/water injection keeps everything clean

Looks like OE valves, the "6T" makings is a good sign that the head has not suffered bent valves and been replaced with cheap valves.

why has the head been pulled?

Thanks for the input guys!
I pulled my head because the valve cover holes and Exhaust mani holes were stripped, also my compression was off and i had coolant being pushed out of my overflow. All in all i got a good deal on the head so i went ahead and got it.
