Okay, so recently when driving my 97 gst 5 speed, there has been a big clunking noise when I take turns that I can feel, as if I'm running something over and only happens when I'm in gear. Does anyone know what this could be? PLEASE HELP!!

So only happens when you turn? Could be the axle or a ball joint or a motor mount. Figure out which corner it is and shake or just down the front end. You will need to visually inspect the axle. Any other symptoms while driving? Grinding going into any gear or clutch slipping?

CV joint(outer of course). That's exactly what it does. COuld be a ball joint as well.
Also check what DSMkauai said.

There no grinding when going into gear and my clutch is pretty new so that's not slipping. I'm pretty sure it only does it when I give it gas while I'm in gear taking a turn. I've only driven it once since it started happening. How would be a good way to inspect my axles, engine mouth, and ball joint?

Look at them? If the boots are torn you need new.

Definitely sounds like the axle.

If your suspension has not been overhauled just get a whole front end control arm kit plus axles and get it all done. These cars like to break ball joints and have the strut come crashing down, happened to me, luckily in a parking lot, if on the freeway, well I might not be here.

Axels are visually but you can also grab with your hand and shake to see if one is loose/ has play. If your boots are torn it's a good sign of damage and should be replaced. For the front end, ball joints and tierods. You need to jack up under the lower control arm to isolate suspension. Then take a large bar or pry bar and put under tire. Then move the bar up and down and you will feel if it's bad/play (ball joint). It's helpful to have someone who can do that while you watch the ball joint. To Check tie rods you just grab the tire while it's still in the air. And move it left to right with your hands and again you should feel the play of its bad. You could also have a bad wheel bearing and that will cause a loose/play in all directions when you shake the tire. Here's a video to help just one I found on utube quick.

Okay I will look into that. And then would it be a bad idea to drive it?
