What's up guys? ;)

This is the deal I am tired of having these slow, car ( 420A engine). It is pissing me off :thumbdown and I am going to have to go with and extra help ( laughing gas ) :p .
I meant my car runs fine, is strong and everything. The only problem is a little oil leak that I dunnot where it come from. Other than that has a melt head and I need to tune the adjustable cam gears for best results ( as soon as I go to the dyno). Last time, I measure the compression and was something around 210 all of them. (Pretty good ehh? :D ). ANYWAY

My idea is to buy a small NX nitrous incognito kit (they are cheap :thumb: ). I think they only run 45 or 50 shoots with a small 1.4L bottle ( not big enough but it is fine for me. I just want to hide it and press it only when the competition is really strong.) But my only fear is that it may blow my engine and I have around 125,000 miles on it. But runs fine. So I guess it should be any problem right???? I am not planning to run more than 50 shoots.
Tell me what u guys think about it.

Another question how many times I can use a 1.4 L bottle ?how many time I can press it? Like 5 or 10 times? ( I don't might refill it) I rarely race. ( yeah right!!!)

Thanks in advance

a good rule is not to get a shot that is above 30% of crank horsepower, For your car , i would go for a 35 shot instead of 50 , just to stay wise and to keep your car going longer

don't buy that kit its sorry

just save your money and get a real nitrous kit

we have run many 2g n/t cars with 75 shots.

the 1.4L bottle is good for about 1 pass and will only knock about 1 or 2 tenths off your quarter mile time.

Thanks for the soon answer!

About the 35 shoot sound really fear to me I will do it. ( i want to keep my engine lifes a little bit longer).

But, why do u think that kit is not good enough? Is because the bottle is not big enough? It doesn't give too much performance? The company who made it or what? Help me with this one.

Thanks

Don't know where you get this info from but not even nitrous manufacturers claim that low. Any typical engine can take 20hp per cylinder with no problems as long as it's running properly. This needs to be given consideration to age, type of engine etc. Generally most applications this is true. A 75hp shot on the 420a is not a problem at all.

titogs95: The incognito system is for race cars who have a system that is rich and need to spray a little extra onto the car to clean it up. This is not a nitrous kit for a NA car. If you were to use this kit with no fuel enrichment it would blow up your car. This is not a "DRY" kit, it's a no fuel added kit. If you at nitrous with no fuel you get a very lean condition and holes in your pistons. DRY kits pump up fuel pressure to compensate for the nitrous added so they still technically run wet if you know what I mean. THis is completly the wrong kit for you.

If you want to buy NX buy the NX Stage 1 EFI kit. This is the kit you need for your car. You can also buy the ZEX wet kit or NOS kit, whatever makes you happy, however I recommend the NX kit from personal experience (with all the mentioned brands)

yup yup! make sure you arnt running lean and you have enough fuel!!! its the lack of fuel that will turn it all ugly...

Hey that sound good :)
Thanks for tell me that!! before it was too late. ;)
Any i need to save more and buy that freaking kit. ( NX i guess)

I will be sure to be running rich by the time i am running the Nitrous.

Thanks guys

you dont need to be running rich. if you get a wet kit, the kit injects the proper amount of fuel with the nitrous, so you can run normal, as the a/f ratio should stay the same with the spray.

u wont even feel a 35 shot..... my buddy is running a 50 in his 420@ neon and he has a decent amount of mods and u can barely feel it!

yup yup....when i had my 50 shot you could barely tell...haha i showed my parents and took my bro for a ride to show him when they came to visit me and all of them were like so did you use it? i was like yes :|

when i spray my 55 shot in mid gear, you can feel it, see the RPMs move faster, and it does make a huge difference in races, but it's nothing spectacular. hopefully i can build up the engine and go to a 75 shot.

my buddy is sprayin a 75 shit in his 2000 eclipse Gt and its faster than i am in the 1/8 but i pull on his wit my tsi fwd in the quater.....

A 50 shot does make a big diffrence depending on your bottle pressure if your spraying below 900-800 psi you're not gonna feel the horse power you intendenting to do. And yes a 45 shot is safe just make sure you do your maintance on your car especially your plugs
