is it my powersteering belt?

my car started making weird noises when i turned the steering wheel all the way left and right. then today after work when i started it up i heard a belt squealing, now it takes all my strength to turn the wheel and my battery light is on.

the problem is obvious just dont want to overlook anything
so i bought a belt and im putting it on tomorrow, is that all i need?

might sound stupid but... did you check if there is any powersteering fluid? Maybe Pump got locked up.

i had checked it yesterday, but you never know, it dont hurt to double check. ill check it again

you know what i bet its the battery, cause the power windows quit working before the power steering went out, then the light came on to say low battery... im stupid
