i think every car i have driven can turn better than my tsi. i always end getting stuck in the middle of the street trying to pull a u turn. iv drove a tahoo and it turned sharper than my car. wtf?? it would be nice if we could like swap out the parts for the evo ones...

thats normal :( dsms have a notoriusly bad turn radius. you just get good at very quick 3 point turns :p

Exactly it is called performance shafts on the front with really short runs. This gives you larger CV joints and keeps the turning radius large. The Taho is RWD and does not have any axles in the front so it can have a tighter turn.

yeah but i hate jerky driving and since i have an auto i gotta come to a complete stop when changing gears. :thumbdown

Sorry but this is an issue you can't change. No use whining about something that can't realistically be changed.

The CV Joints have nothing to do with turning radius because the engineers that designed the vehicle have limited the turning radius with the rack & pinion before you ever get to the limit of the arc of the CV joint.

The larger "performance" axle is still no bigger than your average Toyota Camry which has a better turning radius than the dsm. Crankbender, if need be I will show you the ROCKFORD CONSTANT VELOCITY Tech manual that gives you all the dimensions of the DSM axles and others, and I can show you all the dimensions of the rack & pinion (which I have already supplied to you). :thumb:

your not the only one. I bearly found out about it when i was tryin to make a illegal U turn with my car and a Celica. I have to reverse.

most AWD have that problem...hell, my friend in his toyota tacoma or whatever the truck he has is called says that he has to go into 2WD mode so he can park correctly.

i was riding a older s-class and i noticed that it had a better turning ratio than my car.

s-classes are boats, yet they have better turning ratios...
