is a 93 talon a 7bolt?

my question is my syncros are out in 2nd and i have a 93 allwheeler i want to buy a tranny but the person i bought the car from says he put a 6 bolt in it? thought my 93 already had a 6 bolt in but i read that after 1992.5 they put a freer revving evo engine in it so what tranny should i buy and is there an engine block number to prove a 6 or a 7 bolt??

1g 6 and 1g 7bolt awd trannys are the same. The difference is the flywheel. Check your oil pan to see if its a 6 bolt or 7bolt. If it curves in its a 7 bolt, if its bumps out, its a 6 bolt.

My 93 was a seven bolt. Also you and check the timing belt tensioner. 6&7 bolt use different ones.

This will be hard since things need to be removed to check, and tensioner identifications are usually for advanced 4g63 users.
