'96 talon compared to a '93

would a stock 96 talon n/a be much faster than my stock 93 n/a? both are 5 speed. a friend of mine is buying a 96 talon and he says the car beat a friends v6 eclipse. well, this friend of mine is getting all worked up and saying his talon is going to be faster than mine. what should i expect?

If you have an n/a 2.0 liter, it should be a drivers race stock for stock. If you have the 1.8L n/a motor, it'll be even for a little while until the little engine runs out of torque. And to beat a V6 eclipse, his car should be running in the high 14 second range, which I highly doubt...

A 93 n/a 2.0L engine is a 4g63, a 2g n/a engine is a 2.0L 420a

Technically, he is right. SInce his engine is newer, as long as both engines were taken care of equally well, his will have less blowby (ie - better compression)

Actually no you won't... he'll have a 420a chrysler motor (similar to DOHC Neon) and you'll have the 4g63.Assuming both cars are five speed it should be a close race....all 16 1/2 seconds of it..
