This is the TSi as she sits today (still doesn't have a name yet).
The car was bought in Pocatella, ID. I drove down there to pick up a 1990 AWD shell after looking for 6 months. I already had a donor engine from a 1990 Eclipse GSX that I bought wrecked for $400. The shell cost me $750 and came with a shortblock that had some Ross pistons in it but he blew the engine.
I pulled the shortblock out of the Talon and found that he spun a rod bearing big time but the pistons still look good, so they will probably be reused when I build the engine up.
As of that point I was $1100 into the car.
The first "aftermarket" things I bought for the car were A Hallman Pro Boost Controller, EGR blockoff plate, and stainless steel valve cover bolts (all bought from STM new). This cost me $120 shipped for everything.
After that I noticed the car was burning oil, and came to the conclusion that I could either get a rebuild kit for the stock turbo, or just upgrade the whole system....I assume you can guess which one I chose

Bought this setup from a member on the board here

For $450 I got an OBX T3 ramhorn SS exhaust manifold,Turbonetics 50 trim T3 turbo, RRE FMIC kit with hard piping, crushed 1G BOV, SAFC, 2G MAF and intake, HKS throttle body elbow, Magnacore Wires, 550cc injectors, and additional upper intercooler piping for GM-MAF setup. Looked like a good deal to me

So that is what I have so far. The plan is to race this car on our track days and see 11s. I'm sure it won'tbe too tough if I do everything right. Tuning equip is on the way, and I will keep everyone updated as much as possible. I will start a list of all the parts I have, what I paid, and what they cost new tomorrow probably. Thanks for reading and I hope everyone can enjoy the build.
