Interior option question?

Ok, I'm trying to figure out if you can paint the interior of our cars an make them look like the exterior paint jobs? Or do you have to fiberglass the interior first to do it?

If you want it all shiny and smooth, fiberglass is what you'd have to do. Painting it another color will still leave the texture of the surface so it will look like stock - just a different color.

Ok, thanks that what I thought it's a pain to do. I already started doing it so I was just wanting to make sure im going the right way.

Have fun driving that when it's sunny out though. Fiberglass + sun would suck.

But it'll probably look really nice, none-the-less.

Also you can sand it down until it is really smooth. use like 320g sand paper.

Also what you can do is some bondo. really smooth and take the steps you would for an exterior paint.

you could try sanding it down like edm95 said, a friend of mine did that to his interior and it could have passed for being fiberglassed.

Thanks, I found out that for the dash if you dont put a clear coat on it you wont have the relecetion of it in the windshield when its sunny out. So the dash part under the window will look like a dull color an the front part infort of you will look all shiney.
