interior lighting

so iv'e read some of the searches similar problems but not the same. my interior lights don't come on and today i was pulling the fuses and i found the interior light fuse and when i plugged it back in the lights came on and dimed out like if i closed the door so i just messing around with the jam button on the inside of the door and it wasn't working does anyone know whats going on?

The first thing I would do is replace the door switch. It's fairly cheap from the dealership and installs in seconds.
