i notice many ppl change the interior of the lights to either blue or red and a variety of other colors. however check this out.

for you night owls this might help prevent a fatal crash.
however it is proven that red light helps retain night vision because the rods in your eyes aren't sensitive to red. as a pilot, you are highly recommended to carry a flashlight that shines red light or at least a red lens so you can read the sectionals without compromising your vision.
just a thought. what do you guys think? will it make any of you guys change the interior lights? blue or red? ability to stay awake or ability to see more clearly at night? i probably would choose blue since i had such an experience before where i fell asleep at the wheel. [plus it's my favorite color]
