I buy their couplers but for the cost of the core, add about $70 and you can have either a VRSF or Punishment Racing kit and both are short route.

By the time you get done hacking the radiator support to run the piping it is just not worth it.

Been there and it's just more cost effective and alot less headache to go short route with either the punishment or the VRS-F kit.

I was planning on getting the vrsf right before xmas but they sold out!

liquid - hows the vrsf ic holding up with the holset?

My vote is on the VRSF. I just got mine put on and no complaints. Nice quality with a nice price.

A long time ago I bought an Injen style intake snorkel and it was cheap on all aspects. Quality, price, fitment, and looks. About the only thing I used from the kit was the K&N filter, clamps, and the Mas adapter. Couplers where crap along with the snorkel. HHMM what was that companies name? Just stick with something more main stream. How about the ETS intercooler set up? I've seen several of those for sale used.

I got the VRSF before Christmas and love it! Here is a write up I did on the install: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/386137-1g-vrsf-fmic-install.html. I think you would be a lot happier with that then buying some genaric core for $240 and having to make/buy your own piping and mounts and everything else.

Yeah, I am going to wait for vrsf to restock the 1g kits unless I can find a used ets kit in good condition.

btw nice write up 9!clipse:thumb:

If you order before they restock (should be mid march) you get the black friday/pre-christmas group buy discount which is pretty significant ($285 as opposed to $379 for the kit and $50 as opposed to $69 for the j-pipe). After mid March the price goes back up.

Hey Guys,

Gonna runt he GB price until the kits are back in stock. Once they are back in stock early - mid March the price will go back up. If orders are placed before they are in stock, you'll get the promo pricing :)

Just saw this and thought I'd share it. :thumb:

thanks sir!

Anyone got hot side vs cold side temp data on these? I have seen data on the ETS cores and there pretty damn good so i'm looking at them right now. But if someone can prove to me that these are similar in performance, at that price I don't think i'll be able to pass it up.
