I have a dilemma. I want a front mount but they are pretty expensive. I can get the greddy front mount for $800 which is not bad. But then after reading some other posts I am going to need a bigger radiator and slim line fans which brings the cost way up. $800 is not out of the question but adding the radiator and the fans bringing the total to over $1200, not good for me right now. So now it looks like a side mount is my only choice right now. Which one should I get? What kind of wheel HP can i expect with dyno tuning. I only use pump gas. It is a daily driver and does not go to the track but I would like to get more HP out of the car. Right now with dyno tuning I got 142hp with the stock side mount 17psi. What PSI could I run on the SUPER BIG Sidemount from Dejon and what kind of hp increase can I expect? Also any comments from people with the SUPER BIG Sidemount would be helpful.

I have a Big T-28 Killer with all supporting mods.

i got mine off ebay and had the piping made. 450$ for a nice FMIC and piping. A guy on ebay makes them and makes them well. Check it out.

You dont need to get a bigger radiator and slim fans if you get a FMIC such as the GReddy. Some people have had overheating issues in warmer areas, PA not really being one of them. I'm not saying that a radiator may not be a good idea down the line, but its not an issue for you to be worrying about right now. Get the FMIC.

I would still need the pipes.


I may run into over heating problems is not really an option because this is the only car that I have and I drive 70 miles each way to work.


I just got off the phone with Dejon and he told me that once I have it installed I can turn the boost up to 21 psi for street use and with proper tuning I should be able to get 300 hp using their sidemount.

yea but for the price of one of those you can get a fmic.

I know people that have the greddy and nobody has problems with them. They fit nice ... they are very big, and you can boost more. Don't get another smic.

just curious why your dyno numbers are so low... 142 w/ a t28@17psi doesnt sound right to me... stock cars make about 40hp more than that

142whp..??? that's pretty low since i got 190 whp on my stock t-25.

Sorry I meant 242. The actual number was 242.1

Get the A'pexi GT FMIC. I have one and I never have any overheating issues. The delta fins allow more air through to the radiator. I have sat in two hours of traffic in the middle of summer and not had any heat issues. The A'pexi is not the mos efficient of intercoolers but it is a really good compromise. I think they look bad ass too

I highly doubt you will have any overheating problems with the GReddy. I dont have any problems at all during the summer here in nc, even on long drives.

Go used. I got a 18x8x3 ATI 2-core for $150. Made the piping myself for ~$100. No overheating problems, no slimline fans, etc.

Get your piping from RRE, JC Whitney, or a local supplier and cut/fit it yourself.

$250 total for a fmic that will kill any sidemount.
