Well I'm def going to get a gt42r. Ive read if your going to run a lot of boost you should weld the intercooler piping together for you are not constantly blowing it apart. At what psi level would you recommend welding piping together? IDK if it matters but I'm looking at the sbr full 2g intercooler kit.

I dont see how it would work. The engine is going to flex, and your intercooler is stationery. Quality silicone couplers are tested to 40+psi.

Hump connectors and better engine mounts should do well together.
Get some good beads on the pipes and you will be fine, with quality Tbolt clamps for sure.
There's always the boost coupler, forget who makes it. As well as some very nice solid 'vband' type that is really expensive.

Just make sure you have a nice bead on the pipe end, use silicone couplers and don't even think about hose clamps, get T-bolt clamps!! I've BLT'ed mine to over 45 psi and no leaks, so i would say you'll be just fine without welding... Plus as some one mentioned, if you weld them and the motor moves much you will probably crack one in a short amount of time.
