Here is a shot of 3 smic together, it flow top to bottom. I personally use this setup. it works. (its 2-2.25 in and 1-3 out, I use 1 in and 1 out 2.5)

and they seem to work for this guy too.

One thing that has been left out is that on my new 91tsi I took a tall core from a diesel and cut it down and that was more aesthetically pleasing than the three together but works the same nonetheless.
