I have a fully built up fwd 90 gst.. The only thing i'm missing is a throttle body and a manifold.. Throttle bodies seem to be scarce, and the only ones I seem to find are for mustangs so I think i'm going to stay stock.. It's large enough.. But back to my original point.. Are there any manifolds strictly for track use?.. And are there any that are actually C.A.R.B. certified?.. Any thoughts as to the best manifold?... Thanks guys

JM Fab and Magnus intake manifolds are very well known proven sheet metal intake manifolds. I've searched and the general conscensous is that either manifold will work well as I'm looking for one myself. I believe both manifolds come in a "race" version, and both come in versions for a stock throttle body or a 75mm bbk or mustand throttle body. The stock 2g throttle bodies are 52mm, however stock 1g throttle bodies are 60mm. So thats what you've got to choose from. Depending on your hp goals choose between the 1g or mustang.

Good input guys.. Cause the manifold and throttle are the last bolt ons I needed to get.. Since I had a 1g I figured I didnt need to go any bigger for now.. As the the race versions your talking about you have any clue were I could see them?.. The only ones I found were the regular ones you see around everywhere.. I was looking at the magnus but the only thing I didnt like was the inlets were on the bottom and I wanted something alittle more showy.. Who cares if nitrous lines are showing or not.. I spent good money.. Rather show it off.. ROFL

Do you know of any place's online I can find actually dyno sheets of hp gains of the different manifolds?.. I mean not that I doubt them, but I can't see a manifold adding 40 whp to anything stock as they claim..

And does anyone know if the BBK is a bolt and go or is it like the rest and you have to find your own hardware?..

thanks

if u want 2 stay stock appearing u cld always try the cyclone intake manifold. i know there a pain but do flow nice.

I am almost positive that the cyclones performance gain is ONLY in bottem end torque. Which would be reduced flow.

I have seen cases of the magnus cracking along the welds above 30 psi.

The jmfab race version can be had with a q45 throttle body flange(90 mm).

Also by fully built what do you mean? What kind of turbo? fuel? boost? I think alot of people call a 300 hp dsm fully built, but imo your not fully built until your layin down 600+.

I'll be posting pictures after im done (by the end of this week beginning of next).. I have an sbr-g60, hafe cast ss mani, aeromotive fuel system, walbro 255 pump, evoIII o2 housing, vrs turbo back (swapped my evo III for the eliminator), fully built head (w comp cams, skunkworks sprockets), dss axles, shep stage 1 tranny, dsmlink, coil on plug, water/meth inject, sbr fmic, sbr mbc, tial wg set at 20lbs, fmic sprayer, ect... Everything you can think of besides pistons and rods.. First tune is going to be for 24 lbs.. Or so said I should have over 500 whp.. I will post dyno sheets, pics, ect like said by end of the week.. Just looking for help finding an intake manifold.. =0)

Im really doubting the sbrg60 will get you over 500hp, or even 400. I hope you do well with it though, and I wanna see dyno sheets.

Cyclone intake is bad news. Decent loss of area under the curve with the same peak value. Torque rise isn't worth the cost or setting it up IMO.

Extrude hone is exactly stock, and flows pretty well. It's kinda expensive for what you get. There is an intake manifold comparo somewhere on here too, but none of those look stock.

You can get the TB opened up to 63mm. I can't see you moving more air than that with that turbo, but that's only my opinion.
