I cheated and told the insurance peeps that my beater truck is my daily driver and that the eclipse is for pleasure. I have another instrument cluster that I will use when the insurance peeps need to look at it. :D

What I'm paying now is cheaper than what I was paying before. I had washington coverage on my civic. $1480 every 6 mos just liability. When I got the MI license, my driving record from WA doesnt show. Good deal.

$170 a month for full coverage. I've got 12 points on my license and have lost it once. I was paying $225 a month on my 2000 zx2 s/r before it got rearended.

damn.. i thought my insurance was bad..

i pay 157.00/month with a at fault accident (which will be off in one more year).. still to this day i am content on the fact that it was NOT my fault.. stupid rich people :(

Well I guess I shouldn't complain.. On a 98 GS-T I pay 1,100$/year canadian... that's about 700$ US with full coverage. Already had some claims and speeding tickets. But where I live it costs 250$ for my plates/year and 200$ for driver licence/2 years.

Until now I thought my insurances were expensive ... guess I was wrong !

You guys have it good :p

I pay about $4000/yr for just liability, can u believe that?
That's in Queens, NY - If you wanna save money, don't move
to NYC heh.

heh.....I'm 22 with 1 serious wreck almost 2 years ago, and I pay $4000/year for a 95 Talon (210hp)....expensive as hell....the funny thing is for my other car, a 97 Grand Prix GTX (~350hp), I only pay $1200/year.....doesn't make too much sense to me :p

Hell yeah, they've got it good! $2,600 last year for LIABILITY on a 99 GSX - full coverage was like $5,700 or something rediculous. This year I lost a few points and it's only $1,900 for liability.

i almost got a 92 talon tsi awd with w/ new manifold back on it. I would have bought (was a great deal at only 4 Gs in excellent condition) but I checked what insurance would cost me online. Progressive wanted 3000 every 6 mos! Full coverage for an 18 year old with accidents (buh-bye Mirage :-( ) It made me so mad that I had a car that I was so close to that I can't get b/c my dad won't let me on his insurance.

When I first got it, I paid 260 a month(18yrs old), Now I'm 24, I've had alot of tickets and one still on record, I pay $75 a month, but sense the wife totalled the GSR two weeks ago, (it was 75 on her too) It will probably go up throught the roof!!!!!!!!

For those of you living in California and own a GS-T or GSX DSM and are between the age of 16-18, could you please tell me how much you are paying per quarter (whatever yours may be) for insurance?

I am trying to figure out if insurance is gonna be a problem here.

I looked into insurance on a GSX and it was going to be like 300+ a month, so I decided to get a AWD Talon. I like the Talon more and pay about half as much (168 per month):D

And you can pick up a TSI AWD for about 25% less than a GSX

because when you get an eclipse you pay for the name. If you can find a laser those are the cheapest dsm's of all.

Very true about the talon/laser... Im still on my military insurance (usaa) which is pretty cheap compared to others. When I was 19 w/1 ticket (haulin ace!!) and 1 accident (not my fault) mine was 920 for 6 months with my awd talon...
