installing water temp/oil pressure gauge... one question !

ok well im going to be installing the gauges soon. and i was wondering if there was any other stuff thats hooked up to these sensors like the ECU or anything. i got a mechanical oil pressure... then the water temp is a new sensor w/ 1 wire hookup (think thats an electrical one)

well i think the 12v ignition wire should be tap into the ecu. both should be a 1 wire hook up to the senders that they supply you. me i tap my water temp to the stock sender with the singles wire with the spade clip on it. it reads perfect. my oil psi gauge i took off the stock sender and put the new one on perfect fit wit a little teflon tape. i disconnected the stock oil psi wire. its usless.but mines electric. not sure how different it is from the mech. one hope this helps alittle.

alright. i was just wondering if there was anything that would be screwed up or something if i changed them and used just the gauges and not the factorys...

the mech oil pressure basically is just a line that connects to the oil filter housing and just goes right up to the cab to the gauge. no electronic stuff.(besides the light and that)
