well, my crap finally came in the mail. i got my stuff from extremepsi, whom i have dealt with before, and i am 99.99% sure that all the neccessary hardware is in the boxes lying beside me. i want to rear into them and see what i got. i will do this very soon, but im in a public place and dont think it would be appropriate to whip out all the stuff with all the little package spongee (yes with 2 letter "e"s) things flying and sticking to everything.
anyways, the guides i am basing my process on can be found here and here and here .
now, the first guide mentions that i have to ground my gauge to one of the bolts on the car. i know what he is refering to here.
however, the other two guides DO NOT mention anything about grounding the wire. so does it depend on what i do? or does it depend on what they sent me? or does it depend on how i go about hooking up the lighting? or what?
oh, and the guide found here mentions that a product called shoe goo may be very good to hold up the a pillar. i did a brief search yesterday and found out that numerous people use it, but did read a little blog on a canadian dsm site that it had gone out of business. well, in the dsm link above, the author says that super glue may be too permanent. i seached google and found a store that offers "super goo" here . is this an equivalent of shoe goo?

I would advise against using glue to hold up your gauge pod, summer heat will kill it quick. Drill some really small holes in the pillar and gauge pod, then use really short screws to hold it on. Dont kink your gauge line either, you'll have a boost leak and not know where it is..like this idiot
