I'm trying to install a set of sway bar end links and there is absolutely no way stopping the ball joint from spinning when tightening the nut. There's no hex key hole on the bolt, no nut to hold onto. Nothing. Has anyone else had this problem and has figured out a way to fix this so I can install these? Thanks everyone.

can you post a picture . some links have an allen head , torks or a provision for an open end wrench to keep it from turning .

Wow where did you buy those from? The only thing I can think of is trying some small vice grips on that round part to hold it but I wouldn't recommend it as they may be hard to take off if you ever need to.
From autozone, expensive af too. Yeah I was thinking about a vice grip option. I might just take a small grinding wheel and flatten out the round part so I can slip on an open end wrench on it.

it looks like there is a hole in the middle of the bolt and it should have an allen head on it . if it doesn't then just put a small vise grip on the round metal part by the boot to keep it from spinning .

Ive seen lots of times where autozone parts are not completely correct So i would take back and get a different set.

Im sure those are Duralast. Just get the Moog ones and be over with. You will notice the difference at first sight. Plus every time I used cheap brands the threads strip by just trying to install them. The moog part# is k80564.

I feel like it's a manufacturing error. Do you think auto zone would give me a cash refund if I return them? Cause I look online I can't the moog links under their website? Either that or I just got a bad set.

I don't think Autozone sells the Moog swaybar endlinks, but I'm pretty sure you can get them at Advance Auto. Maybe take them back to Autozone and have them bring out some different ones to compare. If you find a set that looks like these, just exchange them.

Im sure they'll give your money back. I never had a problem returning stuff in any of the autopart stores. Just tell them that they aren't what you were looking for.

You better hurry and return them. I have some bad experiences when I took too long and exceed the return period.

I did mine recently and there was nut that stopped the joint from spinning and now my car handles freaking awesome!

A jack under the control arm might do the trick ,works good for ball joints hah
