I'm putting brembo rotors all the way around on my 2g NT, they're the same size as my stock ones .. which should be an easy swap but I can't seem to get the calipers off the rotor. I can get the caliper to swing off of it's "brace" and get to the pads, but the 2 bolts that hold in the "brace" won't budge. Do i need to let these pesky bolts sit in wd-40 or am i going about this the wrong way? Let me know if you've had the same problem.

rock on :rocks:

well this doesn't pertain to ur 2g cause i have a 1g..but the process is the same....i used air tools and the main air gun that knocks does a great job....if u dont have access to air tools i would recommend getting like a spray that gets rust off on bolts, wd-40 might work but i have this other spray that worked better...im not at home righ tnow so i cant help ya on the name....try using a hammer and hit the bolt, that might loosen up the rust

If the caliper is swinging off of the brace, then you have one bolt out. Put a 6 point socket on the other and hit it with a big hammer. There are two bolts that hold the brace to the knuckle which have to come loose also. Once again, a hammer and box-end wrench or 6 point socket will do the trick. Good luck getting those stuck rotors off.

I did my rotors about 3 months ago, get some liquid wrench and a breaking bar. Also good luck trying to get the old rotors off their a pain in the ass... I used a really REALLY big hammer to get my old ones off seeing how the screw holes provided were stripped out.

I had the same problem with mine too a couple of months ago. Get some Liquid Wrench, and either get some compressed air power or leverage and put a mean face on to brake those puppies loose. The only thing that you could really use to prevent this in the future is Anti-seize, on the threads, but rust is inevitable when they're in constant contact with water, heat, and air. Good luck. :dsm:
