i am trying to install my aftermarket fan my buddy gave me and in one thread they told me just to connect both blue wires and both grounds and just connect them to the single ground, and positive that come out of the after market fan. is this right?

Basically just cut off the harness off of your stock fan which has 4 wires but i dont remember the colors and im to lazy to look right now. Then cut the harness on the slim fan which has 2 wires. Use a volt meter or something within that range to figure out which 2 wires a positives and which 2 are grounds on the stock harness. Then you just hook up the 2 positives to the 1 positive wires on the aftermarket fan and the 2 grounds to the one ground. Once you have your stock harness installed on the slim fan just plug it in to the original and you'll be good to go, but if your fan is reversible make sure it's blowing in the right direction. Hope this helps.
