yeah i really hate when sombody talks about a car and dosnt know what they have . ive got the greddy E01 controller and it reads digital unlike the bs autometer in most dsm's and its pretty acurrate as well .

It doesn't matter how accurate your boost gauge is. The boost control system as a whole will NEVER let you hold a flat boost level within one tenth of a psi.

As such, you might peak at 16.9 psi on one run. You sure as hell are not peaking there every time, nor are you running that perfectly every time.

If you want to talk about accuracy, I'm datalogging boost with a 2.5 BAR MAP sensor.

also it made more power at 20 than at 15 or 16 . you may wanna look at the persons profile than to assume what u think they have

I didn't assume you had anything but a T-25, because you said you did.

It made more power at 20 psi than it did at 16? What about 17? What about 18? How much more power?

i had the same problem....lost #3 piston ring....figured...well...i'm gonna pull out the bottom end....i might as well put forged shit in ;) good luck with your setup man

I am not trying to be rude but why do forged pistons on a n/t??, and I have changed my mind about doing the rebuild on my old gst, it runs fine with a little exhaust smoke, I am going to sell it as it is for $800 OBO. I have read to many threads on here with guys that built engines and had them blow up within 200 miles. I am going to hang on to my pistons untill I blow my Tsi's engine. I am still so shocked at how fast my car is now with this turbo, I could not see it getting any faster  I have been tuning on it all week, I can not belive how tough the tuning is  I think I am getting it where it should be though.

I run a big 16g on my car but I ported the manifold/turbo/o2 housing ALOT the manifold is 2.5" where it goes into the turbo and the turbo matches perfectly.

I have not dyno'd the car yet or done any wideband tuning but I consistantly run 88-89 mph 1/8 mile passes @ 20 psi. on a cool night @ 23psi it will slip the front tires around 80-85mph or so on the street and torque steer like crazy.

I have a big16g ported and clipped from fp and they said its efficient range is 17-25 psi, i just got my full turbo back and runnin 17 psi on the side mount and its pulling like hell. ive even got the phantom grip lsd in my fwd with tokico springs and shocks.. the car will still break the tires loose 50mph roll on 225s mastercraft zhps. so there must be a good bit of power there
