I just installed the lc-1 wideband with a g3 gauge. at idle the gauge reads 18 at part throttle it reads between 14.5 and 15. and then at wot it reads about 11.9ish..I was reading that it needs to be calibrated..is this true..If so how do i go about doing this..and are these numbers indicating that a calibration needs to be done?

Those numbers are somewhat normal. Mine idles 15.5-16.0 cruise 14.5-15.5 and I tune for 11.5 WOT for 91 oct. The innovate needs a "Fresh air calibration" so you just unscrew the sensor so it has fresh air and turn the key on so it powers up, it should read 20.9% on the LM1. The LC1 may be different. Once calibrated, put the sensor back in and your done.

i cant hook it up to a laptop because i have a mac. so can i still fresh air calibrate it., i understand taking the sensor out and things, but i dont understand the other part

See page 9 for the calibration procedure. You don't need to have a computer to calibrate, but you do need the sensor to be removed from the exhaust pipe and exposed to atmosphere or free air.

Also, don't mount the LC-1 too close to the ignition wires (spark plug wires) or you may run into problems with electromagnetic interference (EMI). Trust me, I learnd it the hard way.

yes there is a program to run pc programs, however i am really new to mac computers as well as widebands, so im kinda lost right now.

I bought the wideband because according to my logger my fuel trims are all indication a lean condition, so as a more accurate reading i got the wideband.

not to be off subject, but why did you buy a mac? do you do a ton of video editing? picture manipulation? or just need something more powerful (than what, and intel dual core thats in it? LOL) for normal everyday computing? most people end up buying macs just because a status thing, spend way too much, and a year later sell it because they dont know why they bought a mac. not to sound like that, but its true. i didnt know the sensor required free air tune, then pop in car...good thing i found this before i buy one.
