So my car has had this studder between shifts after making some changes last year (including a full rewire/wire tuck). It only did it when racing or using nlts. I just avoided racing over the summer and only did car shows and cruises. I have now decided to hunt down the illness to find in a log where I used nlts my injectors go 0% after shifting and obviously my car goes super lean. In literally half a second it picks back up just fine and drives normal. Ideas? Resistor pack? bad ground? Any info on what test to do first would be appreciated.
Also could it be something with the clutch switch wiring because my car also stopped letting me start it while pushing the clutch in.

100% normal. That's how it controls the RPM between shifts, it turns off the fuel.

You just need to adjust your clutch switch to that sweet spot, or turn off NLTS.

It still does it without nlts but only wide open throttle. I would think it would do it at part throttle as well if it was the clutch switch. My 2 step works fine and that makes me think otherwise also.

The majority of modern fuel injection ECUs shut the injectors off whenever the throttle closes and RPM is above idle. This is known as decel fuel cut. Sounds perfectly normal to me.

You have some control over decel fuel cut with ECMLink. Check with Tom and Dave if you can adjust the timer for when it turns off the injectors after you close the throttle. Make sure you're using the real IPS in ECMLink or have the settings correct if your simulating the IPS. (Use the real one if you can) You might be causing the ECU to think the throttle is closed far longer that it really is causing the ECU to stay in decel fuel cut.

The Clutch Safety Switch is a different issue. I think ECMLink uses the upper clutch switch normally and the CSS is the bottom one. Just unplug the connector for now and you should be able to start with car without pushing the clutch in. If that fixes the starter issue look to see if the switch is bad or if the rubber stopper on the pedal is worn out.

I'm going to check all that out thanks! I have been known to have some bogus tps adjustments and I just looked at a log and I am simulating idle switch operation.. I'll follow the wiki and get that set up correctly and see if that helps. If that is it I'm going to feel real lazy for not looking into it all summer.

TPS is adjusted correctly and wow it idles well again. I hope I'm not the only one who takes forever to get around to simple things. I can't take it for a spin with the weather right now to let you know if that fixed it. Also, the CSS is the highest switch toward the fire wall. If I unplug it the car starts with no clutch but it's been at least 7 years so excuse me for asking. Is that all I orgionally did to start with no clutch? For the life of me I can't remember, although that's nothing new. I don't think this would effect my nlts.
