I purchased a 95 tsi awd and it came with 2 sets of injectors. One was obviosly the OEM set, and the other are supposed 550cc injectors. So I go to search around and see which is which. I pull the ones in the car, and sure enough, they are the standard 2g OEM 450s with the marking MDL 450 on one side and INP 018 on the other. No problem. The other injectors seem to be a little harder to verify. They are a silver body, and black tops with a single hole in the pintle top (as opposed to the dual holes for the OEM 2g injectors). The only markings are KEI HIN and "japan" on the plug. The other side of the injector top has the markings "4 N J" and the 4th looks like a T. They are written in 4 small circles on the black top. I tried to google KEI HIN and found they were none other than a japanese injector manufacturer, but that was it.
I would appreciate any help here, evern if its just to verify that they are or are not any OEM dsm injector. Its been ages since I pulled my OEM units.

I know someone out there is just sitting there, waiting to make my day with some info :)

Per the forum rules please don't bump your thread.;)

As far as I know Kei Hin makes injectors only for oem applications (somebody correct me if I am wrong). I'm pretty sure they supply Honda with their injectors. They might be 235cc/min injectors from a Honda. I just saw a set from an '88 Integra and they were similar to what you are describing.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if they are the RX7 550s then. Either way I am going to have them flowed and I will report back for archival purposes.

For archival purposes, we installed them in my buddy's dsmlink powered car in lieu of having them tested for $50. With stock settings, it would hardly carry an idle and would miss horribly if you free reved it. Putting it to -19 global, the idle was ok, but the car still missed terribly once it got to 3k rpms or so. Then I bumped the global to -33 and the car would run and drive fine, with some slight missing in the big end under wot, so it may still be alittle rich. Clearly they are bigger than anticipated. I told him to dial i the fuel trims and see what settings he ends up with. I report what global and deadtime we come back with in an efforet to save someone some time.
