inconsistent boost, car pulls sometimes

I have a greddy 18g turbo, when I first installed the turbo it worked fine for me, lately my car will pull normaly but other times the turbo wont spool up as fast, it sucks it will not pull hard at all and bov barely goes off. I also have tried adjusting the boost controler and i will have it turned down almost all the way but boost will still peak at over 20 psi.
Turbo also has side to side and back and forth shaft play, feels pretty loose but not that bad. could the problem i am having be because of this? NEED HELP ASAP.

if you're on the stock sidemount you're heatsoaking the crap out of it and that will draw power from you, and hurt spool time. that is probably your problem.

ok also can this be the turbo thoe? ya the suckt thing is i bought 2 greddy intercooler kits of trader and got screwed on both never got nething thatx for the reply
