The main things that I'm looking at right now are EPROM ecu, Tranny and clutch (can wait on the clutch), or aluminum radiator with slim line fans.

I'm weary about buying tranny's because you don't really know what you've bought until you take it apart or put it in. Race rebuilds are just really expensive ATM.

I want an Eprom because right now I'm only tuned on the Translator and it's great except it's not gear by gear as I'm sure you all know. There's much more drive ability out of a correctly done, chipped ecu. Translator could be used to fine tune later.

Radiator with fans, I'm just tired of always having the heater on to keep my fans on. I want to have a nice cooling system with good fans that turn on by themselves like a stock car.

I need injectors also since I have this big turbo and my friend Pat keeps pushing 1000cc's at me, but I don't think they would be good for a daily. :coy:

I'm stuck once again..... :shhh:

So... the only thing that you actually WANT, and didnt pitch a defence about was the radiator and fans. So, there's your answer.

If you want to save money on your cooling system, you can install a slimline fan not only to free up space, but to get more air through the radiator. Also make sure you have a 180 thermostat, and you can modify your fans to come on with the flip of a switch, but jumping the relay under the hood by your brake booster, so you can have them on whenever you want.

I wouldn't worry about the cooling system. Just wire your fans so they turn on whenever th ignition is on. I would buy an e-prom first out of what you said. Then I would buy Dsmlink and 1000cc injectors.

dsmchick44, Where are you in Syracuse? I live right outside of Syracuse but am temporaroly in NC. Do you know Babs or go to Thompson Rd?

Drivability issues with 1000cc's?

If you were to get DSMlink, you won't have drivability issues with any injector. The only thing you'd have issues with is trying to dial in 1600's (if you went that big). You can get almost anything to run amazing up to 1150cc without a problem.

How about an AFPR? I don't see one of those on your list, but I see a 255lph in your profile.

depending on amount of boost, size of turbo, and type of fuel DSM Link should be able to compensate for the 1000's. curt brown is maxing out 1000's on a 16g.

I run ~15lbs daily on 660's and 6152e, the highest boost this turbo has seen on my car was 17. I'd like to run maybe 20 or so on the street.

Everyone keeps mentioning the Link, I know it's a very good tuning option and I plan on getting one later, but I'm asking about issues with 1000cc's and a chip.

We only have 91oct here, but it's around 4000 feet above sea level. I think that answers most of the questions. :)

Your idle, cruise, part throttle, and wot will be the same as stock injectors if using Dsmlink with them.

Black95awd, Show me where you read that he is maxing them out, because it sounds pretty impossible to me.

If you get a chip like tmo and not one off ebay it should be able to control them pretty good.

Pretty good?

Really the whole issue that I'm having is that the translator only has 4 tuning points and you pretty much have to tune 1 gear not 5. With a chipped ECU it'll be more like stock and daily driving would be greatly improved.

Yes it will be pretty good. It will be better then the translator but worse then dsmlink.

Good enough for me I suppose. Is there any difference that you know of between TMO, Keydiver or a different burner. Wes Hess lives down the street and I was most likely going to request him to burn the chip.

As far as I know, the FAL Slim Fans are not as efficient as the OEM fans regarding cooling. They're only good for freeing up necessary space.
