Hello all. well i need help if anyone could help me i have an 1991 eagle talon tsi FWD and the idle keeps reving up and then goes back down. i have checked it out but i see no or hear no vacum leacks so i have no clue what it might be....

Welcome to the world of DSMs! Try a search for idle surge, or idle surge checklist. This is a pretty common problem with DSMs. It might be as easy as replacing the O ring on the biss screw, or it might be much worse, jsut find the check list, and start going through tings one at a time.

Keep Tuning

do you have a check engine light? My guess would be your IAC is dead. Common problem especially with the 1g. Lot of people like to refer to this problem as auto-rev. Usually leads to many futile honda street races.

My Talon did the same thing when I got it. Replace the oring on the BISS screw first and see if it fixes it. Turn the screw all the way in carefully! Then back it out 2 turns, should idle around 750 when warmed up. My oring was so worn out it would back out 6-7 turns in a 25min drive!

Thanx all of you i just got it so im not really good with dms motors im used to the hyundai stuff well i really apreaciate it and i will keep it posted if it works or not

My Talon did the same. It ended up being the flex pipe coming off the exhaust manifold under the back of the engine. We found this out after changing the Oxygen sensor, throttle control sensor, and tweaking it. Try the $80 new part before all of the others. :)
