I'm getting ready to paint two of my cars please help me decide if I should change the color

I know it' more of an opinion but it' also about the silver being hard to paint, my nt red car in my profile I painted and I'm getting ready to paint my gst the color it is already red, but I'm going to repaint my spyder and have already painted one door handle, front fenders and rear quarters and now the rest doesn' match, pluses it' easy to get tiger stripes with the silver, should I keep it silver or change it to the same fire red of my other cars? Would it be dumb to have silver under door panels, engine bay (only parts I can' get without removing engine). Your opinion will really help me decide, if I do this I will do it with the doors on, I've done this on other cars trucks with success I fog the base coat far as I can and don' clear the far sections to avoid runs, I also was considering a dark pink or black, thanks in advance

If your not going to pull the engine and interior and door jambs and do it right, dont change the color. These cars are on a sledride to hell already, lets not turn them into Honda's and Cavaliers any faster than we have to, either get a better gun with a smaller tip and a better brand of paint or have someone else paint it back to the original color.

I know how to do it properly color change or not, I do agree with you and will either not pull trims and engine and keep it silver or pull everything to change the color, what color would look better to all you?

Not to go off topic but very nice car! Love the coil on plug setup never seen anything like that before on a 4g63 and I've been into this since 07, also I like the dark cherry idea, you think metal flakes would look good in it?

Thanks for the compliments, its been a work in progress for years now. I would say no on the metal flake, I would just do a nice almost anodized dark cherry maybe even with a matte clear, maybe not. House of Kolor has the most amazing colors if you like that kind of different paint color, I use their products including the UC35 clear thats on my black car.

I never considered royal purple! I like the idea! BTW love the 420a turbo setup! I will have to figure out how to pull it off cheap and effective on mine yours looks super clean, hope you get your codes cleared up, this is gonna be tough for me, would royal purple look good as just color or better with metallic, really unsure but gotta do something with it stock paint is faded bad

I never heard of that, I use sem,true finish, omni, Deltron and ppg

Checked out house of Kolor very nice looking products, I'm remembering that rare mint green the eclipses came in, what do you all think of that?

I think that was like lichen green or something, not a bad color.

My car was mint green (whatever) factory, the previous owner painted the car black and left the door jambs the old color. They also left the wheel wells green which I have since changed. The door jambs and under the hood really don't bother me. I really appreciate that they painted it black as I would have done so anyway. So I vote black.

the one I saw was on a mini pick up truck it didn't have flake it look clean cause at night it looks black in the day its purple

If I do a color change I'm going to do it!

Those royal purple oil bottles look fancy with the yellow caps on them, I personally only use mobile one synthetic, but I like the way the colors look, I wonder where I could incorporate some yellow and have the car looks clean, maybe some yellow tire stem caps
