Ok guys here is my problem, i am seriously drawing a blank from it because i have no idea what could be causing the problem, but i'm sorta leaning towards my ignition or something like that.

I used to have my boost at 15 psi. It ran fine, then gradually something started happening which i though was fuel cut. The car just like jerks really hard and cuts the engine off. Its not such a jerk to where it throws me forward or anything so i dont think its fuel cut, but what is sounds like is: brrrrrrrrrRRRRRRR *normal engine sound* then BLUP BLUP BLURR BLURP BLURP BLUP.

When i had the boost at 15-16 it would do this at almost exactly 4k RPM, like the turbo would spool, it would accelerate and pull strong, then right when the turbo was spooled all the way for full boost it would just start doin this. So i turned the boost down to 10 psi, and now i can run all the way to redline without hitting whatever i was hitting before, but now i have like no top end power. Like the turbo spools and my car pulls really hard once i hit full boost and then like it doesnt accelerate anymore after about 4500RPMs. So like right after 4500rpms it doesnt accelerate it just sits there and revs, and also its making like really loud engine noise after about 5500RPMs.

I'm not sure if all these problems are tied in together, but i'm just not sure why i cant turn my boost up any higher because i used to run 17psi strong all the way to redline. Maybe because i'm only on 10psi my car doesnt have any top end power?

Also i've been noticing a kinda weird sound from my turbo, its sort of sounds like a super charger whine and it only does it when i give it WOT, it does it when its spooling up fast, i'm not sure if its something bad like my turbo is about to go out cause it has a little shaft play, or if its just the normal sound when u give it WOT, i was thinking its just the sound when the turbo spools up that fast.

anyway if u have any questions to help figure out what my problem is just ask me i'm very open to suggestions on how to make my car run better.

oh and also some people suggested dirty injectors so i put a whole bottle of stp injector cleaner in on my last full fill up and i didnt notice anything so i'm not sure its injectors.

It sounds like fuel cut to me.
When I ran 16psi, for the short period of time, I experienced this also.
I just chalked it up to the fact that I do not have an S-AFC, or an AFPR, or a Logger.
It is my personal opinion, not to run 16psi on stock fuel. I did this on stock fuel, knock...knock.. cracked piston.. at the door. 2g pistons later I try to keep it @14-15psi
it doesnt pull nearly as hard as 16psi. But I'll live with it until I actually start tuning, which is the stage that your at. Our mods are similiar and I expierience the same thing, Im sure some one else can supply the actual answer as to why this happens. Maybe were maxing out our injectors, which is quite possible.

i was thinking its fuel cut too, bu it just doesnt make sense that this would just start happening because i used to run above 16 psi with zero problems whatsoever, the only thing i can think of that i changed when i started seeing this problem was my 3" o2 eliminator turbo-back. But i dont understand how that would affect it...

Another thing i'm starting to consider is that its my ecu. I pulled my ecu recently cause i was suspicious and i have some major cap leakage on the board causing who knows what problems, i read someone that someone was having a similar problem as me and it turned out to be his ecu.

If it is the ecu thats messed up how would i be able to tell if its that or not?

Steve it i'd love it if u'd chime in on this buddy i need ur help again. If its not my ecu thats causing this i'll send my ecu to u anyways to get new caps.
