CHECK FOR LEAKS. 90 percent of the time that is the problem, and there are always 20 new people asking everyday what is wrong with their car. If it isn't pulling right, lacking power, studdering, not running right, chances are you have a boost leak. It seams like some people are in denial or something. You tell them they have a boost leak, and they are all like no i think my ecu us bad, or my mechanic said my blah blah is bad. The truth is that 90 percent of mechinics that you take your car to have never worked on turbocharged motors, and have no idea what boost leaks will do.

sorry to burst your bubble, but i seriously doubt that anyone with a problem with their car will see this and not make a thread about their problem, i personally would still post my thread, then go check for boost leaks, then if i didnt have any i could come back and check on the thread i started, so basically, this thread was just as pointless as the threads that you are trying to stop, and also, this IS the newbie section, so they can ask whatever they want....their newbies...

i am just saying that everyone should check for boost leaks if their car is not running up to par. you say that 90 percent is a little high. go thru the forums and look at all of the post's that end up being a boost leak. It should just be a given to do if you have a boosted car with the maf before the turbo. I am not trying to offend anyone, just informing people that if their car isn't running right than they should do a boost leak test. I have seen guys that replaced the ecu, tps, iac, fuel pump, just about every component that makes the engine run because of a boost leak.

I just don't understand the idea to make ic piping out of rubber/plastic... i mean wtf were they really thinking

I wonder that myself every time i mess with those hoses. Probably the reason that they make shit like that is so that it will be more prone to leaks, so that people will bring their cars to the dealership to get worked on. I used to have all 1g's now i have a 2g and everytime i am working on it i find my self asking why the hell did they do this. Almost mike they hired a new designer, but their engineer was high as #### of something. Like the t-25. That thing is almost maxed out from the factory. The 14b is a far supperior turbo that the t-25. The 2h head, intake, throttle body, plastic bov, crankwalking 7 bolts. I would really like to know who took over in 95 and go kink that jackass right in the balls.
