idle surge, juist not at idle.

maybe TPS? the car exhibits the exact issue of idle surge, BUT it does it between 1/8 and 1/4 throttle. i can cruise around a parking lot at idle fine, but the instant i nudge the gas peddle off the floor, up to just about 1/4th throttle i get the bucking and accelerate decelerate symptoms of idle surge.

i smoke checked the intake for leaks, and i figured i would go ahead and work through the idle surge cheat sheet. just looking to see if anyone had seen this before.

Check the TPS voltage, IPS switching point and VSS output.
